Patsy Cline - The Concert features the star of the original West End Production Sandy Kelly and her musicians in a non stop evening of hits. The evening will include all of Patsy Cline's biggest hits including Crazy, I Fall To Pieces, Blue Moon of Kentucky, Your Cheatin' Heart, After Midnight, Sweet Dreams, San Antone Rose and many many more. Tickets are on sale now.
Sandy Kelly is undoubtedly one of the finest entertainers Ireland has ever produced. Her career stretches right back to her childhood and her family's 'Fit-Up' Roadshow. Sandy Kelly first appeared on stage at the early age of 3.
Sandy Kelly represented Ireland in the Eurovision in 1982, she was a European 'Gold Star Award' winner in 1985, in 1986 and 1989 she represented Ireland at 'Fan Fare' in Nashville. She had her own RTE TV series from 1990-1992 the show never left the top ten Tam Ratings and was later aired on both Border and Sky TV in the UK. She has appeared on British and American TV on numerous occasions.
Sandy Kelly has recorded with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, George Hamilton IV, Glen Campbell, Patsy Cline, Jett Williams (Hank William's daughter), Randy Van Warmer, The Jordanaires, Chet Atkins and more recently Hal Ketchum to name but a few worldwide stars. She has had two gold records with Johnny Cash: 'Woodcarver' and 'Ring of Fire' and a Gold Album and Single for her 'Patsy Cline' tribute recordings. Sandy has toured with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Slim Whitman. The list goes on and on and it shows the true talent that Sandy possesses that so many of the world's top artists are now associated with her.
One of her biggest successes in her glittering career was the Lead role in 'A Musical Tribute To Patsy Cline' which toured Britain for a record 37 weeks before opening in London's West End. Sandy made over 500 appearances in this show before moving onto writing and directing her own Patsy Tribute Show 'Patsy Cline: The Concert' which has been a phenomenal success.
Sandy released a Greatest Hits CD, 'The Best of Sandy Kelly', in 2009. It contains some of Sandy's finest work from her enduring and magical musical journey. The 22 track album has many of Sandy's hit songs through the years and features some wonderful duets with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline and Glen Campbell.
Here are just two of the many quotes Sandy Kelly has received from her piers over the years:
'It was my pleasure to sing with my favourite female artist, Sandy Kelly. In America she has been Ireland's greatest ambassador. She won the hearts of everyone who saw her. I am honoured to be included as one of the guest artists on her album'.
Johnny Cash
'Sandy Kelly is, in my opinion, one of the top 15 female artists in the world'

Brendan Grace
|
|
'ITS A FUNNY OLD WORLD' with BRENDAN GRACE
It's a funny old world when seen through the eyes of Brendan Grace.
The sanctimonious priest who knows more than he's telling:
'Blessed is he who gets married in the nick of time'.
The father of the bride makes a speech at his daughters wedding:
'She could have married someone with money;she could have married
someone who was working. She could have married someone who wasn't working...
but was willing to work.'
Then there's the schoolboy with the unspeakable personal habits and a fine line in sympathy please.
Brendan Grace is all of these and more. Each cock-eyed portrait he paints has a ring of truth that brings audiences to the point of apoplexy.
Brendan's material owes more to the best of the traditional stand-up-comics than it does to modern alternative humour and his show is very much a show for all the family. There is a sincerity about his act that endears you to him, and
his off-stage persona is very much a 'man of the people' as he makes himself available after each show for a photo and a 'meet and greet'.
Don't miss Brendan with a his 'Brand New Show' at Dunamaise

Colin Dunne returns to Ireland with his solo dance show following a critically acclaimed international tour.
Combining dance, sound design, film and spoken commentary, Out of Time is a fascinating insight into Dunne's private world as a dancer rooted in the Irish step dance tradition. Intimate, personal and provocative, Out of Time is both an unsentimental homage to Irish step-dance and a bold statement of Dunne's personal and artistic relationship with a tradition that has shaped his life.
Perhaps best known for his performances and choreography for Riverdance, Colin Dunne has been forging a new creative path in recent years. He was nominated for an Olivier Award and a UK Critics Circle Award for his performance in Out of Time.

Outsiders with David McWilliams
|
|
While others cheered the boom, only one economist accurately predicted the collapse and mess we find ourselves in. He told you the truth then; he's telling you the truth now.
Leading economist and commentator David McWilliams takes to the stage in Outsiders. In an event - which is part stand up, part discussion, part social observation - David explains how we got here and why we shouldn't despair because there is a way out.
Join the man who believes Ireland's political and social divide is not so much about rich and poor, young and old, urban and rural, but about insiders and outsiders. The insiders - those with a stake in our country who believe that today's status quo must be preserved at all costs; the outsiders - those who realise that the status quo is part of the problem.
In Ireland every time there is a crisis, the insiders get stronger, not weaker. In contrast, the outsiders are excluded and left to fend for themselves. This is what happened in the 1950s and the 1980s and it is happening again now. But there is an alternative.

Here Comes Santa Claus
|
|
By Shay Healy and Michael Scott
Santa Claus is setting out from the North Pole on his annual jouney to bring Christmas cheer across the world. With his reindeer in harness, he waves farewell to his elves and starts on his way. But the sleigh suddenly starts to lose height and before he knows what's wrong, it comes into land on the snow. He can't restart it and when he's trying to finds out what happened, he discovers the cause is the Abominable Snowman who has caused such a heavy freezing fog that Santa can't move forward or back.
Meanwhile, the elves, who always track Santa's progress, have spotted that he's stuck. They set out to rescue him and to make sure the presents get to the boys and girls. When they arrive, Santa is in a bad humour and the Abominable Snowman is even worse. It's so cold that even the Snowman is shivering.
The Elves beg him to lift the fog but he refuses. Why should he have to stay here in the cold if they can go off and have mince pies and warm firesides? The Elves hit on a cunning plan. If the Snowman is so cold, why not warm him up?
Santa and the Elves dress the Snowman in all the horrible Christmas sweathers and scarves and socks that aunties send to children instead of real presents. The Snowman cheers up considerably and asks them all to entertain him.
The elves challenge him to a dance-off and he gets so hot that he melts into a puddle of water. The fog lifts and Santa and the Elves take off again to deliver the gifts in time for Christmas

One of the great Marx Brothers comedies featuring some of the boys' most brilliant routines (including the unforgettable stateroom scene), made before their slow slide into the second-rate. MGM lavished a big budget on this one, there's a hilarious script from Kaufman and Ryskind, Dumont at her astonishing best and, best of all, no Zeppo. - British Film Institute
'...enjoy the rib-tickling delights of the Brothers' surreal anarchy as Groucho and Chico discuss contract negotiations ('That's what they call a Sanity Clause'; 'You don't fool me, there is no Santa Claus!')...it's guaranteed to have you giggling from one end of the musical scale to the other.' - BBC Films
'The quick-fire routines are brilliant; the one-liners crack like gunshots.' Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
