Hope Prayer 'Live'

One of a limited series of concerts in intimate settings, multi platinum award winning singer songwriter Liam Lawton, known for his unique sound and inspirational music visits the Dunamaise on Oct 7th. Liam came to public prominence some years ago when his song 'The Cloud's Veil' was used as part of the memorial services of the World Trade Centre disaster. Since then, he has recorded three multi-platinum selling albums and has toured the world over.
Following on from huge success of his book The Hope Prayer, in this concert Liam explores the stories and songs behind the man and his book. Such themes as Love, Loss, Hope and Healing are presented with anecdotes and reflections from the book linked beautifully with some new and old songs.

Jimmy MacCarthy with Donal Lunny

The long-awaited return of Jimmy Mac Carthy whose music has been recorded by the likes of Christy Moore and Westlife takes palce on October 8th. Jimmy will peform with Donal Lunny with songs from his highly anticipated album Hey Ho Believe produced by Doanl, his first in nearly 8 years as well as some of his timeless classics.

Jimmy MacCarthy returns to performing and recording his lifes work after a 5 year sabbatical.

Sandy Kelly is undoubtedly one of the finest entertainers Ireland has ever produced. Her career stretches right back to her childhood and her family's 'Fit-Up' Roadshow. Sandy Kelly first appeared on stage at the early age of 3.

Sandy Kelly represented Ireland in the Eurovision in 1982, she was a European 'Gold Star Award' winner in 1985, in 1986 and 1989 she represented Ireland at 'Fan Fare' in Nashville. She had her own RTE TV series from 1990-1992 the show never left the top ten Tam Ratings and was later aired on both Border and Sky TV in the UK. She has appeared on British and American TV on numerous occasions.

Sandy Kelly has recorded with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, George Hamilton IV, Glen Campbell, Patsy Cline, Jett Williams (Hank William's daughter), Randy Van Warmer, The Jordanaires, Chet Atkins and more recently Hal Ketchum to name but a few worldwide stars. She has had two gold records with Johnny Cash: 'Woodcarver' and 'Ring of Fire' and a Gold Album and Single for her 'Patsy Cline' tribute recordings. Sandy has toured with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Slim Whitman. The list goes on and on and it shows the true talent that Sandy possesses that so many of the world's top artists are now associated with her.

One of her biggest successes in her glittering career was the Lead role in 'A Musical Tribute To Patsy Cline' which toured Britain for a record 37 weeks before opening in London's West End. Sandy made over 500 appearances in this show before moving onto writing and directing her own Patsy Tribute Show 'Patsy Cline: The Concert' which has been a phenomenal success.
Sandy released a Greatest Hits CD, 'The Best of Sandy Kelly', in 2009. It contains some of Sandy's finest work from her enduring and magical musical journey. The 22 track album has many of Sandy's hit songs through the years and features some wonderful duets with Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline and Glen Campbell.

Here Comes Santa Claus

Santa Claus is setting out from the North Pole on his annual jouney to bring Christmas cheer across the world. With his reindeer in harness, he waves farewell to his elves and starts on his way. But the sleigh suddenly starts to lose height and before he knows what's wrong, it comes into land on the snow. He can't restart it and when he's trying to finds out what happened, he discovers the cause is the Abominable Snowman who has caused such a heavy freezing fog that Santa can't move forward or back.

Meanwhile, the elves, who always track Santa's progress, have spotted that he's stuck. They set out to rescue him and to make sure the presents get to the boys and girls. When they arrive, Santa is in a bad humour and the Abominable Snowman is even worse. It's so cold that even the Snowman is shivering.

The Elves beg him to lift the fog but he refuses. Why should he have to stay here in the cold if they can go off and have mince pies and warm firesides? The Elves hit on a cunning plan. If the Snowman is so cold, why not warm him up?

Santa and the Elves dress the Snowman in all the horrible Christmas sweathers and scarves and socks that aunties send to children instead of real presents. The Snowman cheers up considerably and asks them all to entertain him.

The elves challenge him to a dance-off and he gets so hot that he melts into a puddle of water. The fog lifts and Santa and the Elves take off again to deliver the gifts in time for Christmas
