Culture Night; Big Kids Klub

Big Kids Klub: Culture Night is a one-night social arts experience celebrating the cultures, identities, memories and creative lives of Portlaoise's contemporary community.

The evening invites people to bring something from their world — a song, poem, dance, object, photograph, recipe, story, piece of clothing, family tradition, childhood game, phrase, ritual, artwork, memory or cultural obsession — and share it with the room.Audience participation is encouraged.

The event will be hosted by poet and multidisciplinary artist FELISPEAKS and produced through Big Kids Klub, a new community-led social arts initiative creating playful spaces for adults to connect through creativity.

BKK: Culture Night welcomes you to a social gathering that incorporates communal sharing to connect, spoken word poetry to feel, music to reminisce and an exploration of public play.
