The Fort Café & Bistro, located in the heart of Dunamaise Arts Centre, is a welcoming place to meet, eat and enjoy great coffee throughout the day. Led by award-winning chef Sorin Olinici, The Fort focuses on fresh, generous food and quality local ingredients, creating a vibrant meeting place for audiences, artists and the wider Portlaoise community.

Whether you are joining us for breakfast or lunch, meeting friends for coffee, visiting an exhibition or coming to a performance, The Fort Café & Bistro is part of the Dunamaise experience.

Our theatre bar opens one hour before evening performances and during show intervals, serving a selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. We are proud to support local wherever possible, including selected wines from Grape and Bean, Portlaoise.

Our drinks selection is regularly updated, so keep an eye out for seasonal additions and cocktails.

Heading to a show? Pre-order your interval drinks at the bar or Box Office before the performance and have them ready for you at the interval.
