Greenshine

Greenshine is a Cork based RTE Folk Awards nominated trio, consisting of Mary Greene, Noel Shine and their daughter Ellie. Greenshine's music straddles the boundaries of Folk, Indie and Americana with outstanding harmonies, skillful stringwork and critically acclaimed songwriting. RTE's John Creedon said of the band: "They have produced one great track after the next over the last few years." Their latest album NEW MOON ON FRIDAY was awarded Album of the Week on many radio stations including BBC Scotland and BBC Ulster, while six singles from the collection were included on the RTE Radio 1 Recommends Lists. Greenshine's beautiful 'The Girl in the Lavender Dress' went on to be 2nd most played Irish track in the year of its release on RTE Radio 1, launching the trio into the consciousness of music lovers far and wide. Noel and Mary have leant their talents to the recordings of other artists such as Christy Moore, The Republic of Loose, John Spillane and many more.
