One Beat, Two Cultures Celebrate the harmony of India and Ireland in an immersive cultural experience this June at the Dunamaise Arts Centre. Organized by local Portlaoise creative Moumita Pal, Solas is a unique event that bridges the two worlds of India and Ireland through the universal language of the arts. It is a vibrant celebration of our shared heritage, creating an experience that feels both warmly familiar and wondrously new. The Performance Feel the magic unfold as the graceful spins of Kathak (Indian Classical Dance) meet the soulful call of the Clarinet. Watch as expressive footwork finds its perfect match in the stirring rhythm of Irish dance, set to the lively pulse of traditional music and the resonant thrum of the Tabla.
