Culture Night at Dunamaise Arts Centre

Join us at Dunamaise this Culture Night for an evening celebrating creativity, culture, community and the many stories that make Portlaoise unique.

From 5.30pm, the Ukrainian Choir will fill the centre with music, while at 6pm, Portlaoise Musical Society launches its upcoming production of Young Frankenstein.

At 6pm, PLAY — The Meet invites audiences behind the scenes as theatre designer John Doheny and director Kevin Lalor Fitzpatrick explore how an idea becomes theatre, bringing the creative process to life through conversation and performance. https://www.dunamaise.ie/whats...

At 6.30pm, Across the Sea explores the artistic connection between Ireland and India through Kathak dance, original music and spoken word, inspired by the historic meeting of W. B. Yeats and Rabindranath Tagore. https://www.dunamaise.ie/whats...

Then at 8pm, Big Kids Klub: Culture Night, hosted by poet and multidisciplinary artist FELISPEAKS, brings everyone together for a playful social arts experience celebrating culture, identity, memories and the creative lives of Portlaoise’s community.
